RES | Summer School

RES Iceland offers an intensive and unique one year M.Sc. Program in Renewable Energy Science. Acclaimed international faculty ensures very high standard and quality.

RES Summer School

A few weeks of summer in Iceland, studying amongst leading researchers and experts, is both an unforgettable experience and a valuable source of knowledge. The RES Summer School is set in one of the most energetic and geologically active country in the world, offering interesting programs in a unique learning environment.

In the classroom our teachers will give you new challenges and insights into the world of renewable energy technologies and policies. Outside the classroom you can meet your peers, expand your network of similarly minded people focusing on sustainability issues, do your homework assignments under the midnight sun, hike to geothermal areas or just watch the world of renewable energy unfold before your eyes (or underneath your feet).

The RES Summer School offers a global learning environment, focusing on solutions and understanding, while providing you with the perfect setting for an unforgettable adventure.

The RES Summer School Program gives students from around the world the opportunity to undergo intensive coursework and to gain experience through field excursions during Iceland’s summer season. As with the Graduate School, the Summer School focuses on renewable energy science and technologies, particularly geothermal power, hydroelectric power, hydrogen fuel and other alternative fuels, as well as environmental issues and energy economics. All courses and communication are in English.
