Summer School in Renewable Energy Science

A few weeks of summer in Iceland while studying among the leading researchers and experts, is both a valuable source of knowledge as well as an unforgettable experience. RES Summer School was offering interesting programs which are based in a most unique learning environment.

Summer School in Energy

In the classroom our teachers presented students with new challenges and insights into the world of renewable energy technologies and policies. Outside of the classroom, students met their peers and expanded their network of like-minded people whom care about sustainable issues, did assignments together under the midnight sun, hiked to Iceland´s geothermal areas or just witnessed the world of renewable energy unfold before their very eyes (or just under their the feet).

International Energy School

RES | Summer School offered a global learning environment, focusing on solutions and understanding, while providing students with the perfect setting for an extraordinary adventure. The RES Summer School Program provided students from around the world the opportunity to undergo intensive coursework and gain experience through field excursions during Iceland´s summer season. As with the Graduate School, the Summer School Program focuses on renewable energy science and technologies, particularly geothermal power, hydroelectric power, hydrogen fuel and other alternative fuel sources, as well environmental issues and energy economics. All courses and communication were and will be in English.

RES RESTARTED - Including the Summer School

A project restarting the RES experience, including the summer school focused on sustainable energy production. Support our efforts of bringing RES back by telling others about this unique summer school and that we are trying bringing it back.
