RES encourages all its students to become involved in some extracurricular activities during their studies so they can also enjoy various cultural and social experiences that Akureyri has to offer, including sports and recretional activities.
RES students are also members of UNAK‘s Student Union or FSHA that organizes various social events throughout the year. The RES Office also sponsors social events that highlights the importance of diversity in our student population - celebrating cultural, gender and ethnic differences.
