In August 2008 RES students moved into brand new apartments at Kjalasida 1, 603 Akureyri, belonging to FÉSTA Student Housing. The apartments are
located close to RES classrooms, Main Office and the University of Akureyri Campus. Most of the apartments have two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, storage
room, and living room.
Rent Subsidy
RES students in rental apartments may be entitled to rent compensation. Applications for rent compensation should be sent to the Municipality of Akureyri. A residential lease agreement must be
registered for each student to be able to apply for rent compensation. This is done at the District Administration Office (Icelandic: Sýsluskrifstofa), Hafnarstræti 107 in Akureyri.
