Teaching takes place at Sunnuhlid, Solborg, and Borgir. The Solborg and Borgir are within the University of Akureyri campus which is located in the geographic
centre of Akureyri.
In Sunnuhlid RES has two classrooms, as well as RES main Office. The building is located a stone throw away from the University of Akureyri campus, halfway towards the student appartments. The
rapidly growing RES library with titles focusing on renewable energy is located at Sunnuhlid, as well as student lounge and café. RES students have 24 hour access to these facilities and
it is used for classes during the day and various student activities in the evenings and on weekends.
