The RES Rector, Dr. Bjorn Gunnarsson, and the former RES Director of International Affairs, Mr. Arnbjorn Olafsson, visited Jagiellonian University’s Faculty of Chemistry on November 5th 2009 in Krakow, Poland. 

The two institutions signed a partnership agreement highlighting cooperation in both renewable energy education and research. The meeting was attended by Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, Prof. Grazyna Stochel, Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs Prof. Artur Michalak, Vice-Dean for Research & Cooperation Prof. Zbigniew Sojka, Prof. Lucjan Chmielarz, and Dr. Marek Frankowicz.

Dr. Gunnarsson gave a presentation to students and professors at the Faculty of Chemistry about renewable energy utilization in Iceland and the M.Sc. Degree Program at RES. The presentation was attended by over 50 members of the Faculty.
