Dr. Saso Medved, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, will visit RES in August and September.

Dr. Medved will stay at RES for six weeks, from August 1 to September 15 and again for another six weeks in 2009.
Dr. Medved received all this degrees (B.Sc. in 1983; M.Sc. in 1990; and Ph.D. in 1997) in engineering from the University of Ljubljana. His research interests include renewable energy sources in general, solar energy and buildings, energy efficient building design, and building physics. Dr. Medved has taught undergraduate and graduate courses dealing with renewable energy sources, solar thermal technology, environmental engineering, heat and mass transfer in buildings, building services systems, energy efficiency, as well as numerical modeling and software development. He has furthermore lead studies that have assessed the present and future ecological footprint of Slovenia based on different energy demand scenarios.
