Facilities

RES and the University of Akureyri are known for its personal atmosphere. The teaching facilities are new and well equipped with computer access and the library facilities and reading lounges are excellent.

Offices and Classrooms
Courses take place at Solborg, Sunnuhlid and Borgir. Borgir is a science park and is currently going through expansion. RES will in the future be located at Borgir. The Solborg and Borgir campus is uniquely located in the geographic centre of Akureyri.

In Sunnuhlid RES has both the main classroom and offices. The building is located a stone throw away the main university campus, halfway towards the student dormitories. The rapidly growing RES library with titles focusing on renewable energy is located at Sunnuhlid, as well as student lounge and café. RES students have 24 hour access to the facilities and they are used both for student lectures as well as past time activities.
