RES is generally willing to assist its students if they wish to bring spouses and children to Iceland. This may involve some additional cost to the student, as they might need larger apartments and there are more mouths to feed. However, primary schools are free of charge in Iceland and are typically willing to accommodate the needs of foreign children. On the other hand, the day-care centres for small children are semi-private and students might find them expensive.
Should you wish to bring your family to Iceland, we suggest that you contact us quite early so we may begin to help you in your planning process. Contact the international office, mail.
NOTE: Ensure that you apply for visa and resident permits for all dependents you will be bringing with you.
